The Authority of Jesus

Listen, to the Spirit calling us.Oh, that TODAY you would listen to his voice, HARDEN Not YOUR HEARTS.God invites his followers, to listen diligently to his voice. We have been celebrating the octave of prayer for Christian unity. All Christians claim to be followers of Christ, and we can and must acknowledge the many differences there are amongst us members of his body here on earth. Let us always remember and acknowledge the one essential requirement God expects of his followers: that each and every one of us listens diligently to his voice, and follows him. In this way He builds his Church on earth as a creditable sign that He is our God and we are His people. God warns us not to be distracted by our differences, lest we become a house divided against itself. As we listen to Him, we can more easily accept and love one another just as He accepts and loves each of us with an extravagant love. Jesus himself prayed to his Father for this unity among his followers: Heavenly Father I pray that they also may be one as we are one, that the world may know it was you who sent me.
