Fourth Sunday of Advent

On this last Sunday before Christmas the readings speak about the preparations that God made for his Son to be born among us. On this last day of Advent the liturgy invites us to contemplate in a special way the Virgin Mary and Joseph, who lived with unique intensity the period of expectation and preparation for Jesus’s birth. The birth of Jesus helps us to become aware of the value and sanctity of human life, the life of every human being, from the first instant to natural death.
